Your new Asus Eee PC 1005HAB laptop battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use. Upon initial use the battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity.
When you charge your Asus Eee PC 1005HAB notebook battery, the first time the computer would indicate the charge completion popup in 15-20 minutes. At that point of time you just need to remove the battery and then again continue charging.

My original battery after 2 years on my Eee PC 1005HAB was able to provide 20 min of service. The AGPtek is giving me an unbelievable 11 to 12 hours of service on a charge. Charges faster too.

I purchased my laptop a few months ago. I was fully satisfied with the netbook except for the 2 to 3 hour battery run time. The AGPtek 9 cell battery fixed that. It arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date, sealed and packaged in the AGPtek box. It fit the netbook perfectly and powered up with no problems.
Although it is heavier that the original battery it is well worth the extra weight.
The design is not a problem for me. The angle the netbook sits at with the 9 cell battery is quite comfortable for me to work with. I now get 10 to 11 hours of battery run time. With the original battery I was constantly having to plug in the AC charger. Now my netbook runs and runs without having to be tethered to an AC power source.
