Tips for Asus Eee PC 1005 battery:

Your new Asus Eee PC 1005 battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use (refer to your computer manual for charging instructions). Upon initial use (or after a prolonged storage period) the battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity.

I purchased my laptop a few months ago. I was fully satisfied with the netbook except for the 2 to 3 hour battery run time. The AGPtek 9 cell battery fixed that. It arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date, sealed and packaged in the AGPtek box. It fit the netbook perfectly and powered up with no problems.
Although it is heavier that the original battery it is well worth the extra weight.
The design is not a problem for me. The angle the netbook sits at with the 9 cell battery is quite comfortable for me to work with. I now get 10 to 11 hours of battery run time. With the original battery I was constantly having to plug in the AC charger. Now my netbook runs and runs without having to be tethered to an AC power source.
